I played a set once and a young guy came over - he said he liked the music but he usually listened to more emotional stuff, so I threw this on, and he said that was the nail on the head.
I’m not usually one to play the heartstrings on the dance floor, but that comment totally opened up the world of heartfelt dance tracks - just cause it’s a party, doesn’t always mean you’re OK, and that hadn’t hit me in a while. Made me reminisce about times when I was younger, and wrapped up with love lorn feels for someone who I couldn’t quite get my hands on, couldn’t quite understand, or forget.
Love this song for it’s ability to capture my attention with it’s words, and keep me vibing with it’s infectious beat.
